Though the entire interview is worth watching, the section on ideological subversion (1:07,07) is especially important.

Bezmenov, formerly a high ranking official (defector) of the KGB, dismisses the importance of espionage in relation to what he describes as “ideological subversion.” He notes that espionage in fact constituted a surprisingly small part of the KGB portfolio–and that the KGB dedicated over 80 percent of its energy, attention and resources to “ideological subversion.” 1:08,25

The goal of the subversion program was quite simple

Goal is to change perception of reality of every American to such an extent that despite abundance of information no one is able to come to come to sensible conclusions in defense of themselves, their community and their country.

Sound familiar?

Bezmenov breaks down the subversion process to four stages:

Demoralization, De-Stabilization, Crisis, and Normalization

The Demoralization stage involves removing any sense of pride in one’s country, one’s people or one’s history. Without the moral-ground and educational basis to understand and defend it, a people is helpless under the influence of their present subverters and future controllers.

NOTE: It takes one generation to demoralize a population. Once this is achieved, the demoralized generation will grow up and occupy positions of power and leadership. A demoralized population has no mechanism for robust healthy leadership.

At 1,09:,26 Bezmenov talks about “half-baked morons” who were systemically introduced into the American power structure through the process of demoralization. Bezmenov notes:

“Even if you expose them to information you cannot change the basic mode of perception and logic of behavior… Exposure to true information does not matter anymore”

In other words, in a demoralized and subverted system FEELINGS DONT CARE ABOUT YOUR FACTS!

This is the deeper truth about propaganda in a mass society that patriots must understand.

Indeed, you may not care about propaganda, but propaganda cares about you and its instruments are working on you every single day.

Bezmenov, who defected from the former Soviet Union to the United States, ends with a chilling warning. If the United States runs through the full process of ideological subversion it is game over—because unlike Bezmenov, Americans will have no place to defect to. 1:16,32
