Hunter Biden: Baby mama was ‘basketball mentor’ to daughter and Sasha Obama

First son Hunter Biden described Lunden Roberts, with whom he fathered a daughter out of wedlock in 2018, as a “basketball mentor” to one of his daughters as well as former President Barack Obama’s daughter Sasha in a September 2017 email.

The email from Hunter Biden was stored on his abandoned laptop and first reported Monday by DailyMail.com. The message was a response to Cecilia Browning, the general manager of the Georgetown building which housed the offices of Hunter’s consulting firm Rosemont Seneca as well as the embassies of Sweden and Iceland.

Browning’s initial email, sent Sept. 18, 2017, warned Hunter and other tenants against giving visitors after-hours access to the building through a side entrance.

In a lengthy, angry reply sent three days later, Hunter Biden claimed: “I have never knowingly attempted to hide visitors or break any rules. What do i[sic] have to hide Cecelia. There is a camera in every hallway every 10 feet.”

Later in the same email, Biden stated: “I had phoned ahead to let security know that my youngest daughter’s basketball mentor she worked out with Maisy and Sasha Obama when they played in rec league together. Maisy, my daughter continues ton [sic] pursue a NCAA Div. One team and Lunden continues to help.”

Hunter Biden then included what he called a partial bio of “Lundon Roberts.” Parts of the biography appear to be copied verbatim from an online profile of Roberts, who was listed on the Arkansas State women’s basketball roster for the 2011-12 season as a redshirt sophomore.

The younger Biden also claimed Roberts was a “[t]hree time NCAA All-American” and “in her final semester at George Washington University’s National CSIS Masters Program and ranked #1 in her class. If you need any more information you can find it yourself.”

In the same email, Hunter Biden accused another tenant of racially profiling an African-American woman he had given a job to.

“The woman’s name is [redacted] and I have known her for 17 years. She has had a very difficult life, but is one of the more honest and caring people I have ever known,” he wrote. “She has been homeless for quite sometime and I have always tried to help by giving [redacted] odd jobs that fit with her odd hours so that she can have somewhere safe to sleep. I assure you she is not a threat to the Icelandic Ambassador.”

Roberts gave birth to Hunter Biden’s daughter, Navy Joan, in August of 2018. Previous emails from Biden’s laptop indicate that Roberts was on the Rosemont Seneca payroll while she was pregnant and that Hunter Biden had her removed from the company’s insurance plan sometime in 2018.

In May 2019, Roberts slapped Hunter Biden with a paternity suit, which was settled in March 2020 with Biden agreeing to pay an undisclosed monthly sum in child support and health insurance premiums.

In his recently published autobiography, “Beautiful Things,” Hunter Biden writes he initially challenged the paternity of his daughter because he had “no recollection” of any sexual encounter with Roberts.

Months before he sent the email to House of Sweden management, Hunter Biden finalized his divorce from his first wife, Kathleen, with whom he had three daughters. At the time of the email exchange with Browning, Hunter Biden was dating Hallie Biden, the widow of his brother Beau, who died of brain cancer in 2015.

Hunter is currently married to Melissa Cohen, with whom he has a son.
