Gisele Bündchen pumps the brakes on Tom Brady’s Michigan plan for son

With Michigan football’s win over Ohio State on Saturday, former Wolverine Tom Brady started fantasizing about his family’s potential future.

The Buccaneers quarterback, who was at the University of Michigan from 1995 to 1999, celebrated the Wolverines’ win Tuesday on his SiriusXM podcast, “Let’s Go! With Tom Brady, Larry Fitzgerald and Jim Gray.” During the episode, Brady recalled how he watched the game with his elder son, Jack, and fired off plans about what’s possibly next for his 14-year-old.

“I had a little future Wolverine, my son Jack, sitting on the bed with me as I was jumping around and we were wrestling and I said, ‘That’s where you’re gonna be! You’re gonna be in the Big House someday. You’re gonna be the starting quarterback for Michigan,'” Brady said.

Brady’s pipe dream lasted about a millisecond as his wife, Gisele Bündchen, quickly brought him back down to Earth.

“And my wife was like, ‘Just let him be what he wants to be, for God’s sakes!’” Brady said. “It was a great day for our family.”

Before taking over the NFL, Brady started under center at Michigan for two seasons. He was then drafted by the Patriots in 2000 as a sixth-round pick, 199th overall. The rest, as they say, is history.

With an eighth Super Bowl title currently on his radar, should Brady, 44, reach the postseason this year, expect Jack to be close by.

Following the Buccaneers’ NFC Championship win over the Packers in January, the quarterback, who shares Jack with his ex, Bridget Moynahan, embraced his son in the stands at Lambeau Field.

Jack also watched his dad’s Super Bowl win in February with Bündchen, along with her and Brady’s two children, daughter Vivian, 8, and son Benjamin, 11.
