All COVID-19 vaccines were tested on animals and there were no safety concerns, medical experts say

Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccines were all tested on animals and had no significant safety concerns, fact-checkers at Reuters, USA Today and The Associated Press report. A Pfizer media spokesperson told Reuters that the pharmaceutical company published a press release about the effects of their mRNA vaccine in mice and non-human primates. Moderna and Johnson & Johnson also released similar information, per Reuters.
