It was just another beautiful Thursday morning in our nation’s capital when Rep. Angie Craig, a “Defund the Police” lesbian Democrat from Minnesota, was punched in the face by an apparently homeless schizo criminal in her apartment building’s elevator.

Fortunately, she was able to throw her hot coffee on the attacker and call 911, at which point he fled.

There is no evidence the attack was politically motivated, according to the Congressman herself.

The attacker has an… interesting look, to say the least.

An arrest was made later of one Kendrick Hamlin aka “Hamlin Khalil Hamlin”, indicating a the suspect has a potential connection to Black Islamic Nationalism, according to the D.C. government:

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District announces an arrest has been made in reference to a Simple Assault offense that occurred Thursday, February 9, 2023, in the 300 block of H Street, Northeast.

At approximately 7:10 am, the suspect approached the victim, inside of an elevator, at the listed location. the suspect assaulted the victim. When the victim defended themselves, the suspect fled the scene.

On Thursday, February 9, 2023, as a result of the detectives’ investigation, 26-year-old Kendrick Hamlin, AKA Hamlin Khalil Hamlin, of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with Simple Assault.

Details from Business Insider indicate this was yet another violent, drug-addicted homeless lunatic schizo out on the streets thanks to urban liberal soft-on-crime policies (emphasis ours):

Craig told investigators that the man followed her into the elevator and “began to randomly do push ups” after she said good morning to him in the building’s lobby.

The man then “punched her on the chin area of her face, and later grabbed her neck,” the police report said, according to Bloomberg.

Craig “defended herself by tossing her hot coffee” at him, it added.

Craig then called 911 and the attacker fled the scene, according to the chief of staff’s statement.

“There is no evidence that the incident was politically motivated,” the statement added.

Police said on Thursday night that a man had been arrested.

The District of Columbia’s Metropolitan Police Department said that 26-year-old Kendrick Hamlin, who also goes by Hamlin Khalil Hamlin, had been arrested and charged with assault.

The man had been “acting erratic as if he was under the influence on an unknown substance,” when in the building lobby, the police report said.

Police said he had “no fixed address.”

Just another day in the lovely capital of the Globalist American Empire.

Angie Craig is on record as being a massive supporter of “Defund the Police”:

The Minneapolis Star Tribune reported this month that Angie Craig [was] trying to reverse some of her previous stances after she voted for anti-law enforcement legislation to eliminate qualified immunity for police officers and to defund the police.

Craig said she had evolved on the issue!

Angie Craig cosponsored and voted for H.R. 1280, the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act of 2021, which would effectively “defund the police” if signed into law by costing hundreds of millions each year, enact restrictions on policing practices, and eliminate protections for law enforcement. Republicans described the bill as a plan to “defund the police.”

Craig even voted against condemning calls to defund the police.

She also claims to be the first “lesbian mom and wife” to serve in Congress:

I couldn’t be prouder to support the Equality Act, a groundbreaking piece of legislation which will grant equal protection under the law to our LGBTQ friends, family and neighbors — as well as me and my family. As the first lesbian mother and wife to serve in the U.S. Congress, and the first LGBTQ member from Minnesota, this legislation is the culmination of a lifetime of work for so many.

My wife Cheryl and I have built a beautiful life together, raising four sons who we love dearly. We are lucky to live in Minnesota, in a state where many of the Equality Act’s protections are already enshrined into law.
