President Trump did not mince words in a recent no-holds-barred discussion with radio host Glenn Beck. In a particularly memorable moment, Trump offered a fully candid analysis of who may have destroyed the Nord Stream 2 pipeline, a critical piece of infrastructure designed to allow energy to flow from Russia into Europe (particularly Germany).

Transcript of the above tweet:

President Trump was asked if the Biden administration blew up the Nord Stream pipeline:

“Well, it could have been us, and it could have been Ukraine, and it could have been some third-party country that wants to see trouble. The one group it wasn’t is Russia.

This is a main source of massive income for them. They didn’t blow it up to make a point. That’s the one thing I can tell you for sure.”

Recall that Trump’s remarks come on the heels of a remarkable (yet unsubstantiated) report by Pulitzer Prize winning journalist Seymour Hersch suggesting that the US is directly responsible for blowing up this critical piece of Russian and German infrastructure:

Two of the pipelines, which were known collectively as Nord Stream 1, had been providing Germany and much of Western Europe with cheap Russian natural gas for more than a decade. A second pair of pipelines, called Nord Stream 2, had been built but were not yet operational. Now, with Russian troops massing on the Ukrainian border and the bloodiest war in Europe since 1945 looming, President Joseph Biden saw the pipelines as a vehicle for Vladimir Putin to weaponize natural gas for his political and territorial ambitions.

Asked for comment, Adrienne Watson, a White House spokesperson, said in an email, “This is false and complete fiction.” Tammy Thorp, a spokesperson for the Central Intelligence Agency, similarly wrote: “This claim is completely and utterly false.”

Biden’s decision to sabotage the pipelines came after more than nine months of highly secret back and forth debate inside Washington’s national security community about how to best achieve that goal. For much of that time, the issue was not whether to do the mission, but how to get it done with no overt clue as to who was responsible.

[Seymour Hersh Substack]

While it is unknown which party is directly responsible for destroying the Nord Stream 2 pipeline, no one has yet provided a convincing or logical explanation as to why Russia would have blown up their own prized piece of infrastructure, as many US intelligence officials claimed, along with several US politicians beholden to the national security state. See the following amusing clip:

While intelligent and honest analysts can reliably rule out the possibility that Russia blew up its own prized pipeline, there remains the possibility that the sabotage was conducted by some proxy acting with tacit approval of the Unites States, rather than the United States itself (as Seymour Hersh claims). It is interesting to recall what happened almost immediately after the Nord Stream 2 pipeline blew up at the bottom of the Baltic:

Months ago, Revolver’s Dr. Darren Beattie joined Steve Bannon’s program to give the straight unvarnished dope on the destruction of Nord Stream. Beattie had particularly harsh words for Germany:

Though Trump’s remarks on Nord Stream 2 are in a certain sense common sense, common sense is supremely rare to the point of being virtually non-existent among our corrupt, illegitimate political class. Trump’s willingness to speak the obvious yet dangerous truth about Nord Stream 2 is just one part of his broad-based attack on the national security establishment that has in effect declared war both Trump and the American people more broadly.

Undoubtedly the usual special interest lackeys will chastise Trump for going too far, or not being “Presidential.” It is encouraging to see Trump ignore this bad advice and continue to do what he does best—speak the unvarnished truth directly to the only people that matter, the American people.
