A D.C. judge recently sentenced Jessica Watkins, a transgender protester involved in the January 6th meele, to 8 and-a-half years in prison. The activist judge couldn’t resist getting political on the matter, suggesting that Watkins had the potential to serve as a “role model” given his identity as a “trans woman”.

The judge who sentenced Oath Keeper Jessica Watkins for her role in the Capitol insurrection said she could have used her identity as a transgender woman and army veteran to be a role model, rather than a riot leader.

US District Judge Amit Mehta sentenced Watkins to eight-and-a-half years in prison on Friday. Watkins is a US Army veteran and Oath Keepers member who founded a local militia in Ohio, which she mobilized to join her in attacking the US Capitol on January 6, 2021, CNN reported.

Much of Watkins’ emotional testimony focused on her struggles as a trans woman in the military, a journey she says made her “fearful and paranoid” and drove her deep into the world of conspiracy theories, according to CNN.

By the way, believing the 2020 election was a complete and total sham isn’t a conspiracy theory, as most polling shows.

The judge said Watkins’ personal story of struggling for years to come to terms with her identity as a transgender woman made it especially difficult for him to understand why she has shown “a lack of empathy for those who suffered” on Jan. 6. Watkins testified at trial about hiding her identity from her parents during a strict Christian upbringing and going AWOL in the Army after a fellow soldier found evidence of her contact with a support group for transgender people.

Watkins tearfully apologized for her actions before the judge handed down her sentence. She condemned the violence by rioters who assaulted police, but conceded that her presence at the Capitol “probably inspired those people to a degree.” She described herself as “just another idiot running around the Capitol” on Jan. 6.

“And today you’re going to hold this idiot responsible,” she told the judge.

Was this a court of law or an LGBTQ therapy session? The media loves watching a right-wing mentally ill person groveling and calling themselves an “idiot.” This is what they live for.
