Romanian authorities needed proof that Andrew Tate was in the country so they reportedly used his social media posts. His ridiculous video yesterday featured a pizza from a Romanian pizza chain, Jerry's Pizza, confirming he was in the country.
This is absolutely epic.
Not only did Greta Thunberg destroy Andrew Tate with her tweet, she made him so angry he inadvertently tipped off Romanian authorities of his presence in Romania with his lame comeback video.
Greta is an absolute legend.
A downfall in 4 parts.
Greta's tweet has now become one of the top 25 most liked tweets of all time with 2.8 million likes. It could easily hit the top ten by the weekend. This is absolutely legendary.
Moral of the story. Don't fuck with teenagers on social media. They will completely destroy you.
Andrew Tate and his brother being taken into custody by Romanian authorities.
It gets even crazier. The Council of Europe through GRETA, the Group of Experts on Action against Trafficking in Human Beings, urged Romania last year to effectively prosecute human trafficking.
Muting this thread. In the meantime, please consider donating to orgs like Reaching Out Romania that help victims of human trafficking. There are real victims involved in this that will need support.
I've gotten quite a bit of pushback about my pizza box tweet. I want to explain my thought process and acknowledge the fair criticism. I had no idea this would go this insanely viral.
I read reporting by Gandul, a local Romanian news org. Specifically, they reported that authorities mobilized after setting social media posts indicating the brothers were together. This is a bit different than my post stating about being in the country. gandul.ro/actualitate/ex…
After I read this, I decided to check Andrew Tate's social media. He was famously booted from most social media in August. However, he had a Instagram ban evasion account but the last post was on December 5th. No real discernible location.
BREAKING: Andrew Tate's home in Romania has been allegedly raided by authorities in connection with organized crime. dexerto.com/entertainment/…
This is the second time his home has been raided as he was reportedly under investigation for human trafficking by Romanian authorities in April. thedailybeast.com/police-raid-ma…
The report from Romanian media states that this is tied to the abduction of two girls.
These are grown men joking about raping a woman because she hurt a man's ego Misogynists always resort to threats of rape to maintain power. It's absolutely vile and disgusting.
This chilling story yesterday on NPR detailed how the Iran is resorting to rape as an intimidation tactic against women. Sexual violence is all about maintaining power.
Greta did nothing to deserve this. Andrew Tate trolled her out of the blue for no reason other than to increase his engagement. She clapped back and immediately the threats of sexual violence start. This is what women online deal with constantly.
The lowest of the top 10 is 3.1 million. It's at 2.1 million now. It would need 2.7 million to enter the top 30.
UPDATE: Greta's tweet has moved into the top 30 all time most liked tweets with 2.7 million. It's been over 24 hours. There's a possibility it could move into the top ten if it gets over 3.1 million, completely within reach.
NEW: Chad Loder wrote a detailed article identifying Chaya Raichik as being on restricted Capitol grounds on January 6th next to other prosecuted insurrectionists.
Chaya Raichik went on Tucker Carlson and said the "LGBTQ community has become this cult... It's extremely poisonous." She later says "They're just evil people, and they're out to groom kids. They're recruiting."
This is one of the most bigoted interviews I've ever heard.
This is 1970's Anita Bryant level bigotry and it's getting promoted by Tucker "Dan White Society" Carlson. These bigots feel so emboldened to spew their hatred openly and incite violence against the LGBTQ community.
I did an in depth thread on the connections between Chaya's tweets and bomb threats. It's not just her but all anti LGBTQ moral panic stories invoke this response now.
