Royal fans rage at sick game mocking royals spotted in Harry and Meghan Netflix doc

In a surprising turnup, a controversial card game known for making light of things that are normally off-limits, has been spotted in the background of Harry and Meghan's new documentary

Harry and Meghan had a controversial game in the background of their new documentary, which contains jokes about the Queen and Prince Philip.

Cards Against Humanity was spotted in a shot of their incendiary new Netflix documentary, Harry & Meghan.

Known for making light of some very upsetting things, the game is loved by many but regarded as offensive by others.

It has jokes about the likes of Madeline McCann, Hillsborough and Princess Diana.

In episode four of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s new show, the game was spotted in the background – though there is no confirmation either way that it is theirs or that they played it.

It is however visible in a scene shot in Nottingham Cottage, on the floor as Harry wears his military gear.

The game is tucked behind a table, flanked by shoes.

The editor of Majesty Magazine, Ingrid Seward, didn’t see the inclusion as a joke, however.

She said: “This game is sick. It is ridiculous and utterly tasteless whether you are a monarchist or not.”

Viewers have been surprised by the inclusion too.

One said: “I couldn’t believe it when I saw it so replayed the scene. It is astonishing because the game mocks the Queen and other members of the Royal Family.

“I appreciate it might not be their game but it’s an amazing irony when you consider it appears on a programme where they’re talking about being offended.

“I know the game and it’s extremely offensive about lots of people and events.

“It also has shocking content. I was disgusted to see it included on their Netflix programme.”

The game’s blurb on the box reads: “Unlike most party games you’ve played before, Cards Against Humanity is as despicable and awkward as you and your friends.”

The game bills itself as the “party game for horrible people”.

Speaking in the past the project leader of the game's British edition, Eli Halpern, said: “That was our mission statement — to take the most sacred thing in the UK and tarnish it.”
