Rand Paul among RNC guests escorted to safety by police after being confronted by protesters
The senator and his wife were among the guests approached by demonstrators as they left the Republican National Convention at the White House. According to journalists on the scene, noise from hundreds of anti-Trump protesters could be heard from the South Lawn, where the president concluded the convention.
