President Trump has given many memorable speeches in his day. He has an amazing ability to connect with his supporters on a very emotional level. That unique recipe consists of equal parts “Trump” and “great speech-writing.” When those two ingredients are combined, it makes magic. And nobody knows that better than former Trump speechwriter Darren Beattie.

Revolver’s own Beattie listened to Trump’s CPAC speech over this past weekend and he, like most everyone else, was blown away by the power and originality of his message.

So much so, Darren to took to Twitter and published this tweet, calling that speech one of Trump’s “all time greats.”

Darren is right.

That speech was President Trump’s “comeback” moment and he delivered exactly what his supporters needed to hear: a message of hope, a blueprint to win, and a healthy sprinkling of “retribution.”
