The left continues to weaponize the judicial system in order to target and steamroll dissidents. We’ve seen this play out with non-violent January 6 defendants who’ve been treated like mass murderers, rotting away in solitary confinement; Douglass Mackey, who was just convicted of “conspiracy” for sharing an anti-Hillary meme; and President Trump, who was arrested recently on some sham campaign charges. The left’s newest target is a relatively unknown character from New York named George Santos who basically did what most politicians do: lied his way into office.
Biden’s DOJ has arrested Santos and charged him with 13 felony counts. He just pled not guilty.
Rep. George Santos, R-N.Y., pleaded not guilty at a Long Island courthouse Wednesday to a 13-count federal indictment unsealed by the Justice Department.
Santos, 34, who surrendered into custody Wednesday morning, has been charged with seven counts of wire fraud, three counts of money laundering, one count of theft of public funds and two counts of making materially false statements to the House of Representatives, according to the Justice Department.
He pleaded not guilty at an 11-minute hearing and was released on $500,000 bond. Santos must submit to pretrial services, have random monitoring at his home and surrender his passport, and any travel outside New York state and Washington, D.C., must be approved by the court.
Now, the question lingers — should George Santos step down from his position?
Independent journalist, attorney, and successful filmmaker Mike Cernovich says it ultimately boils down to one key factor: whataboutism.
In simple terms, “whataboutism” can be likened to saying, “But what about this other thing?” as a way to avoid dealing with the current topic. Democrats have twisted whataboutism into a weapon, employing it to deflect attention from the fact that they often escape prosecution for serious crimes, while Republicans frequently face intense scrutiny for a wide range of trivial matters, as Mike Cernovich artfully points out.
Whataboutism, also known as the Socratic method taught in day one of law school, does in fact apply where Democrats are not being prosecuted for serious crimes while Republicans are.

Mike provides a compelling example of how Democrats skillfully employed “whataboutism” to shield Hunter and the entire Biden family.
How do Republican goobers keep falling for this?! The House had to find the Hunter Biden documents themselves. Several crimes proven. DOJ, rather than indict, held a Santons case as “insurance,” and then arrest him on the day or a major Oversight Committee press conference.
— Cernovich (@Cernovich) May 10, 2023
Given the circumstances, should Santos step down? According to Mike, absolutely not…
You don’t give up a seat when you narrowly hold a majority because a Stasi indicted someone for paperwork violations less severe than Clinton’s dossier funding. Let alone Hunter Biden.
— Cernovich (@Cernovich) May 10, 2023
And he’s not the only on saying this. Many conservatives are on the same page regarding Santos and this “whataboutism” plot Dems are unleashing.
So the DOJ managed to whip up a case against George Santos in less than a year, but the DOJ still can’t manage to make a decision on Hunter Biden.
And they just happened to arrest Santos on the same day a bribery scheme involving Joe Biden was exposed.
Nothing to see here.

Make no mistake, the regime sent a very clear message to the American people during the House Oversight Committee press conference. Did you catch it?
They’re deliberately charging Santos in the middle of the House GOP conference detailing the Biden family’s corruption to make clear to you that they are in charge and that they will arrest (or run interference) for anyone they want, and there’s nothing you can do about it.

This is what happens when the American people doze off for a few decades and allow the federal government to run wild and amass way too much power and control.
As this former Navy SEAL aptly puts it, there’s far more to the Biden Crime Family bombshell than meets the eye:
There’s an even bigger scandal to this story than the corruption of the Biden family.
Many of these transactions triggered SARs, Suspicious Activity Reports, tons of them. That means certain banks, probably the Office of the Comptroller of Currency (OCC), and definitely FinCEN had visibility on this ling before Biden was a candidate.
“FinCEN’s mission is to safeguard the financial system from illicit use and combat money laundering and promote national security through the collection, analysis, and dissemination of financial intelligence and strategic use of financial authorities.”
Partially because of the Patriot Act, you know my feelings on that, certain ‘other’ agencies would also have direct access to the FinCEN data also. The DOJ (including Trump’s DOJ) and a large portion of our intelligence community likely knew for years.
Congress needs to put certain directors of FinCEN under oath. They are the central connection.

. It’s no wonder Dems chose yesterday as the perfect time to arrest George Santos.
The average Democrat knows about the corruption in the Biden family, but they don’t care. And most Dems are okay with the judicial system being misused to go after Trump and his supporters. So, what do you do about a government that doesn’t care about abuse or corruption? That’s what one podcaster is asking. It’s a good question:
That’s fine, but we’re too far over the waterfall for this kind of thing to matter. The average Democrat knows the Biden family is profoundly corrupt and they simply don’t care. They know the judicial system is being abused to punish Trump & his supporters, and they think it’s great. Sam Harris spoke for all of them when he said it wouldn’t matter if Hunter’s laptop was packed w/pictures of dead kids.
This is not the kind of thing that can be fixed by investigations. It likely can’t be fixed within the rules of the existing system because the Constitution doesn’t account for an electorate that doesn’t care about corruption or abuse.

Yesterday, the Regime flexed its muscles and demonstrated its power, and with the assistance of the propaganda media, they successfully suppressed the news regarding the Biden Crime Family and redirected the focus towards a relatively unknown congressman from New York.
Now, Republicans must resist the temptation to be “do-gooders” and virtue signalers. Instead, Republicans should actively encourage Santos to keep fighting and firmly refuse to resign. It’s time for everybody to realize what we’re up against and fight fire with fire.
