Are you old enough to remember when Fox News genuinely represented the conservative perspective? While they occasionally featured voices like “Juan Williams” and “Bob Beckel” to offer alternative viewpoints, it was clear that Fox News stood firmly behind and aligned with conservative values. This unwavering support made the network an influential force within the news industry, all thanks to the visionary leadership of Roger Ailes. Over the span of two decades, Ailes dedicated himself to nurturing and expanding Fox News, transforming it into the formidable powerhouse it became. Ailes possessed a keen understanding of his audience, treating them with utmost respect, and in turn, they rewarded him by propelling Fox News to the top spot in cable news.

His astute approach resonated with viewers, who found solace in a network that echoed their own beliefs. Fox News became a trusted ally, providing a platform where conservative voices could be heard and validated. The bond between Ailes, his audience, and the network’s success was undeniable, solidifying Fox News’ position as a dominant media force — number one in cable news.

Roger Ailes’ remarkable accomplishments over the span of 20 years cannot be overstated. Yet what is truly astonishing is the swift devastation inflicted by the Murdoch family — erasing everything Ailes had painstakingly built all within a mere six years. Their actions left a profound impact, dismantling the legacy that Ailes had tirelessly constructed.

On May 15th, Roger Ailes would have celebrated his 83rd birthday. His widow, Elizabeth, expressed her heartfelt birthday wishes to her late husband on Twitter, while also calling out the Murdochs for their role in dismantling Fox News. In doing so, she sparked a fiery criticism of the network’s decline.

Here’s what some folks had to say about Elizabeths’s tweet:

“It’s sad and I miss my Gutfeld like crazy I don’t believe in censorship getting rid of Carlson, was the last straw for me so I can’t be part of their viewing audience anymore ”

“When Roger left, so did Fox News’ credibility”

“Miss your husband very much – a sheer genius- God Bless you and his continued impact on the world.”

“Fox News was Roger Ailes, when he died, they died too…”

“It’s true- Fox only thrives on the legacy talent Ailes brought in Murdochs walking tightrope between Trump base and mainstream news viewership Direction of commentary in doubt after Carlson’s departure “

For many once-loyal Fox News viewers the Tucker Carlson firing was the final straw, and now, lowly MSNBC has taken over as the number one name in cable news.

Newsweek:

Fox News’ ratings for primetime slots among key demographics of cable television viewers have declined sharply since the departure of Tucker Carlson, with the latest figures showing rival MSNBC overtaking the conservative juggernaut.

Megyn Kelly says she’s never seen the ratings at Fox News this low.

Why did Fox News make the decision to fire their most popular anchor, leading to a rapid decline in ratings? Speculation suggests that it might be connected to a “secret” part of the Dominion settlement agreement, which makes you wonder if it could also be linked to the Biden regime; as many left-wing zealots work at Dominion.

Business Insider:

Former Fox News host Tucker Carlson’s ouster was reportedly linked to the new channel’s $787 million settlement with Dominion Voting Systems, according to Variety.

Variety cited multiple unnamed sources who were aware of an April 26 conversation Carlson had with an unnamed member of Fox Corporation’s board who reportedly told Carlson about the agreement. According to Variety, the condition was not formally written down in any of the case’s settlement documents. Instead, Carlson’s ouster as the highest-rated cable news host was based on a verbal agreement. If Fox didn’t follow through, Dominion would not have settled with the company.

“That condition was intended to hurt Fox, and Tucker is just collateral damage,” a source told Variety. “Dominion wanted to punish Fox, and it’s working.”

Dominion and Fox Corporation strongly deny any such agreement was ever in place.

Regardless of the real reason, we may never truly know. Tucker’s firing could be the last straw for many. However, the decline of Fox News began long before that. Things started going awry when they brought Paul Ryan on board. And let’s not forget their controversial 2020 Arizona call and the hiring of the disgraced cheater Donna Brazile.

Fox News had a great run, thanks to Roger Ailes’ remarkable leadership and his genuine care for conservative viewers. But the current version of Fox News is no better or different than CNN.
