The smoke from Canadian wildfires is affecting numerous cities in the US. Many on the left have falsely linked these wildfires to climate change. Meanwhile, in the real world,  authorities have made many arrests related to arson.

Despite the arrest of multiple arsonists, the mainstream media in Canada seems intent on attributing the nation’s recent wildfires to “climate change.”

As wildfires continue to spread across western, and now central and eastern Canada, burning forestland and homes, the mainstream media continues to imply that climate change is the main culprit, despite a growing number of reports showing that arsonists have been arrested for allegedly setting dozens of fires.

“Several arsonists have been arrested in the past weeks in different provinces for lighting forest fires,” People’s Party of Canada leader Maxime Bernier tweeted. “But the lying woke media and politicians keep repeating that global warming is the cause.”

Facts be damned, media outlets and leftist radicals are still pushing the insane climate change conspiracy. And if that wasn’t fraudulent enough for you, NBC News is now suggesting that the effects of wildfire smoke are “racist.”

It never ends, does it? Everything, even smoke from a fire, is “racist” in the clouded and crazy minds of the left. They can’t stop this nonsense — sadly, it’s part of their political DNA.

NBC News: Black residents of Detroit brace themselves for rougher air quality conditions

Detroit’s air quality is among the world’s worst due to the Canadian wildfires, potentially exacerbating many health problems that residents of the predominantly Black city have struggled with for generations.

Communities of color and low-income populations are exposed to higher levels of PM2.5, atmospheric fine particulate matter, compared to other groups in the U.S., according to a study last year conducted by Harvard University. A 2020 poll by the Environmental Defense Fund found that 58% of Black adults living in Detroit are twice as likely than white residents to be concerned about air pollution in their communities. Poor air quality conditions are even worse in regions like southwest Detroit, whose residents experience asthma hospitalization rates three times higher than the state average.

Experts like Jessie Singer, author of “There Are No Accidents,” said the recent air pollution only illustrates the ways Black communities are made more vulnerable to environmental disasters and climate change through policy and infrastructure decisions. For example, Black people are more likely to live where there is greater exposure to air pollution as a result of residential segregation, according to the American Lung Association.

“Systemic racism defines whether or not you have the excess cash to have an air filter in your home,” Singer said. “If you have less access to health care, if you grow up in a polluted environment, if you don’t have the economic freedom to take time off work, then when a wildfire happens, you’re more vulnerable.”

So, according to the geniuses over at NBC News, pollution is now racist and blacks are hardest hit. Never mind all the white people living in the Detroit metro area, or the northeastern region hit hardest by the smoke from the Canadian fires. The subtext of this article is we must do SOMETHING to make everyone suffer from pollution equally.

Imagine living in a country where we didn’t have to hear the communist state race ideology blaring from regime media 24/7. Imagine if we didn’t have to hear about the travails of black people 24/7, with the media fanning the flames of racial resentment among “communiTAEs of COLOR.” Imagine if merit, not race, won the day. Imagine if we weren’t constantly, as a nation, being dragged down to the Lowest Common Denominator. Maybe we could live in a great, first-world, world-leading nation again.
