Is this the end of Elon’s reign as the “Free Speech” savior? In a shocking move, a recent deal between Twitter and Daily Wire fell through. Twitter reportedly backed out of the deal to air the Daily Wire documentary, “What Is a Woman” over two instances of so-called “misgendering” that appear in the documentary.

After Daily Wire announced their intention to proceed with airing the documentary, Twitter fired back by stating that they would classify it as “hate speech” and shadow ban the video to limit its visibility. This reminded many conservatives of past instances when previous Twitter leadership censored our every word.

The current policy of “freedom of speech but not freedom of reach” effectively prevents users from viewing content from accounts they have personally chosen to follow. It’s a clear and blatant form of censorship. As the number of paying users on Twitter continues to grow, it’s only fair for them to expect complete access to tweets from the accounts they follow. This ensures that we don’t go back to the old days, when Twitter employees and algorithms had the power to control which content was visible, during the reigns of former CEOs Jack and Parag.

That’s exactly how it feels: like the rotten old days. Even some well-known conservatives, like podcaster Tim Pool, are beginning to notice. And now, Tim Pool is throwing down the gauntlet, declaring that if Elon Musk doesn’t fix this, and show the entire documentary, he will cancel his Twitter Blue account.

Well, don’t call it a comeback, but Elon Musk has finally made his move to restore free speech, or so he claims:

Ironically, Elon just had held a sit down interview with the Babylon Bee, where he reiterated his stance on “free speech.”

It’s hard to say what’s happening behind the scenes, but it makes you wonder what’s going on in Tucker Carlson’s mind right now. He was planning to relaunch his show on Twitter, but how much censorship would he face? Plus, who in the world is still working at Twitter to orchestrate this censorship and undermine Elon Musk’s stated free speech goals?
