A chilling video has resurfaced where Oprah Winfrey discusses predators, suggesting that they’re likely to be someone you know — someone very close to you. These words take on a haunting new meaning as yet another man close to the superstar has been exposed as a rapist and abuser. This time, it’s João Teixeira de Faria, also known as “John of God,” who served as Oprah’s moral compass and spiritual leader. John stands accused of abusing six hundred women and found guilty of brutally abusing nine and will spend the rest of his life in prison.

João Teixeira de Faria who is now a convicted sex offender was formerly a Brazilian medium who gained worldwide attention after he was feathered on the Oprah Winfrey Show, CNN, ABC News, and many more tv networks.

While he was on the set of the Oprah Winfrey Show, Oprah called João inspiring and even encouraged women to seek out his expertise.

In 2018, João was exposed after a total of over 600 women came out and accused him of sexual abusing them.

He was eventually convicted of raping 9 women and sentenced to 63 years in prison.

There are conflicting reports about how many years “John of God” will spend in prison. Regardless, whether it’s 63 years or 99 years he will inevitably die behind bars.

João de Deus, or “John of God,” also ran a baby trafficking operation where newborn children were sold to childless couples.

Young girls were reportedly held captive in remote, Brazilian “farms” where they were forced to produce babies—before being murdered after 10 years of giving birth.

One activist whose investigations led to John’s arrest said she spoke to women from Europe, the USA, and Australia who bought Brazilian babies for as much as $50k.

Among John’s other celebrity fans are former president Bill Clinton, actress Shirley MacLaine, model Naomi Campbell, and former Brazilian president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.

It’s one thing to have an acquaintance with someone who turns out to be predatory and immoral, but it’s quite another to have that person be your spiritual True North. We don’t know whether Oprah is unlucky or just naïve, but hopefully there is nothing worse afoot.
